I am passionate about offering a safe, accepting and compassionate space for children, adolescents, adults and parents. I believe that being genuinely heard and understood can be a powerful beginning. In therapy I hope to walk alongside each person with warmth, curiosity and respect, supporting them to reconnect with their inner strengths and move towards growth and healing in their own way. My practice is grounded in person-centred theory and informed by neuroscience: every person has an innate capacity for growth, and a therapeutic relationship built on empathy, authenticity, acceptance and safety is what helps that capacity unfold.
I provide play therapy, talk therapy and sand tray therapy. I have offered play therapy in school and private-practice settings, supporting children experiencing emotional challenges, behavioural difficulties, trauma and neurodivergent needs. I also work with pre-adolescents and adults navigating emotional distress, psychosomatic concerns, relationship difficulties, work-related stress, or significant life transitions.
For children, play can be a natural and meaningful language through which feelings, needs, experiences and hopes can be expressed. I seek to create a therapeutic space where children can safely explore their inner world, develop emotional awareness, and discover new ways of coping and relating.
I offer individual and group Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) workshops for parents. Supporting a child often includes supporting the important adults in their world, and I hope to help parents strengthen connection, understanding and confidence in their relationship with their children.
Before entering the counselling profession I worked in advertising and banking, which gave me insight into corporate and fast-paced work environments. As a mother of a young daughter, I also bring a personal understanding of the joys and complexities of parenting to my work with families.
I provide services in Cantonese, English and Mandarin. Outside of work, my self-care includes yoga, meditation, sutra chanting and aromatherapy. These practices help me remain grounded, present and connected — qualities I value deeply in life and in the therapeutic relationship.
